9月29日から10月1日までフランス・ニースで開催されたIIHFグローバルアイスホッケーフォーラムにおいて、
日本アイスホッケー連盟 山田 哲 常務理事より国際アイスホッケー連盟 ルク タルディフ 会長に、
日本で新たに設立されたXHLについて最新情報を報告しました。
タルディフ 会長からは「XHLが選手たちのキャリアパスとなることは、日本のアイスホッケーにとって
非常にエキサイティングな機会です」とのお祝いメッセージをいただきました。
XHLは、IIHFのGrowing the Game Fund（GGF）プログラムによって支援されており、
日本アイスホッケー連盟がIIHF、ドイツアイスホッケー連盟と密に連携して進めているものです。
本リーグは、国内におけるアイスホッケー普及とマーケット拡大を目的とし、選手・審判の育成機会や、
エンタメ性も重視した新しい観戦体験を提供します。
また、アイスホッケーに初めて触れる人や観戦者を増やし、子どもたちが気軽に競技に出会える
環境づくりにも力を入れており、競技の健全な発展を目指し、行動を起こすための第一歩として位置づけています。
開幕戦・第2戦は下記のとおり行われます。ぜひご来場をお待ちしております！

[Congratulations to XHL from IIHF President Luc Tardif]
JIHF Senior Council Member Tetsu Yamada updated IIHF President Luc Tardif on our newly established ice hockey league ”Extreme Ice Hockey League" at the IIHF Global Hockey Forum held in Nice, France, from September 29 to October 1.
Luc offered his congratulations to XHL; "This is an exciting time for Japan Ice Hockey as the XHL can bring and ensure the necessary player pathway for the players". The league is supported by the IIHF Growing the Game Fund (GGF) Program and developed in close cooperation between JIHF, IIHF and German Ice Hockey Federation.
The new league aims to popularize ice hockey and expand the domestic market. The league optimizes the opportunity for talent development of players and referees, and focuses on creating an environment to attract more new fans and kids. We have just taken the first step forward to our goal.
The opening games take place on October 12 and 13 in Shiga Prefecture.
